Mandatory Provincial Residential Tenancy Agreement

Notice to all residential landlords here in Ontario. If you were not aware the new mandatory residential leases have come into effect April 30,2018.

The provincial government has introduced a new standard lease that will be mandatory for private residential leases signed on or after April 30, 2018, including tenancies in single or semi-detached houses, apartment buildings, rented condominiums and secondary suites (i.e basement apartments).

This change to the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) is mandatory. If you have any questions call us at 416-726-2915.
